What Athena processes
Athena processes the content of supported Source files and web pages, including:- Text and Markdown files
- Word documents and PDFs
- CSV and Excel spreadsheets
- JPG, JPEG, and PNG images
- Web pages added by URL
When indexing happens
Indexing happens after you add or change Sources. It can also occur after content created by another Athena workflow is added to a Project’s Sources. For a newly added Source:- Add the file or URL to the correct Source location.
- Athena prepares the content for search.
- The Source becomes available to Athena in its permitted context.
Web pages may fail to import
Adding a URL does not guarantee that Athena can read the page. Some pages require a login, block automated access, or do not expose readable content. If a URL Source shows an error:- Confirm that the address is correct.
- Use a specific page rather than a general site address when possible.
- Try adding the URL again.
- Upload a document instead if you have a copy of the material.
