Open the relevant Personal, Project, or Workspace Sources area, then add a file or paste a web address. You can drag files into the upload area or choose them from your device.

Add a file

Athena accepts these file types:
  • Text and documents: .txt, .md, .doc, .docx, .pdf
  • Spreadsheets: .csv, .xls, .xlsx
  • Images: .jpg, .jpeg, .png
Document and spreadsheet files can be up to 50 MB. Image files can be up to 3.75 MB. If a file is rejected, check both its extension and its actual file type. Renaming an unsupported file does not make it a supported Source.

Add a web page

Paste a complete web address, such as:
Athena saves the URL as a Source and attempts to read its content. If the page cannot be read, the Source remains visible with an error so you can verify the address and try again.

Use folders

Create folders to group related Sources. Folders can contain Sources and other folders, so you can organize material by topic, Project phase, client, or date. You can:
  • Create folders and subfolders
  • Rename folders
  • Move Sources between folders
  • Move folders within the folder tree
  • Leave Sources at the top level when a folder is not needed
Folders organize Sources; they do not change who can access them. A Source keeps the scope of the Sources area where it was added.

Delete a Source or folder

Deleting a Source removes it from that Source location. This cannot be undone, so confirm that you no longer need the material before deleting it. Deleting a folder does not delete the Sources inside it. Its Sources and subfolders move up to the folder’s parent level. You can then leave them there or organize them again.

After you make changes

New uploads, URL additions, and removals may take a little time to appear in Athena’s searchable knowledge. See What gets indexed before relying on a newly added Source in a conversation.
